Thanksgiving for us this year was somewhat out of the ordinary, but definitely one we’ll never forget. With our friends out of town and our family all back home, it was just us two! Of course we missed our family back home, but it made it a little easier knowing 1) We’d be home in just a few short weeks and 2) Three of our siblings were somewhere else around the world experiencing their own thanksgiving so we didnt feel as left out. And thank goodness for Facetime! I wanted to go all out and make our own little thanksgiving feast. Mainly we wanted the luxury of having leftovers all weekend. And boy did we have some. We’re STILL eating turkey and mashed potatoes. Everything turned out alright if I do say so myself! I was terrified of cooking a turkey, but Google made it only half as terrifying. It was certainly a humbling weekend but we were so thankful to spend so much time together. ( And have time to binge watch Gilmore Girls. Team Jess forever.)We’ve been so blessed over these past few months and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. I just love this time of year and the emphasis on counting your blessings and focusing on what matters most!
