2015. It’s incredible to me to think that it’s already come and gone, but it has hands-down been one of the most incredible years of my life. I was a year filled with so many adventures! Number one being, I got married! That day will forever be my very favorite and every day since then has been nothing short of fantastic. Not a day goes by where I don’t feel overwhelmingly blessed to have the husband I do. I love that we get to share so many adventures together, whether it’s a trip across the country or a trip to the store. It was a year of so many firsts. Putting together our first little house, my first time through the temple, my first trip to New York, our first Christmas as a married couple, etc. We found out we are going to be an aunt and uncle!! (Eeee!) I flew in a plane by myself. I ate the absolutely best waffle in the world on our honeymoon. We ate wayyyy too much homemade popcorn and stayed up way too late most nights. There were rolled ankles and sick days, and even some faked sick days 😉 As stressful as it may be, we learned that living dollar to dollar and supporting yourselves is actually kind of fun.
What made this year huge for me, was always being surrounded by the people I love most. I’ve said this a million times, but what made our wedding day so special was having everyone we loved all in the same place. Then and now, we had/have the biggest support system for which I feel immensely blessed. We got to catch up with old friends, make new friends, friends became family, and our family became some of our very best friends. It was a big year for my family seeing as I got married, my sister came home from her mission, the twins graduated and my brother left on his mission! We experienced so many tender mercies this year as well and there is no doubt that the Lord has blessed us in every way.
The new year is by far one of my favorite times. I love reflecting and remembering what has been and the hopeful feeling of what’s ahead. I just love that fresh-start feeling! Juan and I have so many goals for this year and it gets me so excited! Here’s to a wonderful year gone by and an even better one ahead!
